BASILIO SOLIVEN JARAMEL Suddenly on Friday, March 16, 2001, Basilio Soliven Jaramel, age 90 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Benjamina Jaramel, entered rest at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Basilios memory will forever be cherished by his daughters, Rosario Jaramel, Erlinda (Wilfred) Villacarlos, Lourdes Tolentino, Rosalinda Guevara, Carmelita Francisco, and son Leopoldo (Victoria) Guevara, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his daughters-in-law in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. He was predeceased by his wife Benjamina on Tuesday, June 22, 1999 in the Philippines. Basilio was born in Santa Cruz, the Philippines on Thursday, November 24, 1910 and came to Canada in 1978. He was employed by the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires until his retirement in 1989. Lamay will be held on Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23 from 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (both nights) with prayers at 8:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Broadway Disciples United Church, 396 Broadway and Kennedy St. Dr. Raymond Cuthbert will officiate, with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
